Massachusetts Ring Solon Proposes Two Rule Changes BOSTON, Mass., May 20 UP.— Massachusetts Boxing Commissioner Henry N. Lamar today chided television boxing fans who, he said, criticize fight unjustifably. Lamar advocated two changes in the state boxing rules largely "to assure" TV fans that Massachusetts conducts "humane" fights. He recommended at a public hearing that a fight be stopped after three knockdowns in any round and that the commission-appointed ringside physician be allowed to enter the ring on his own authority to examine the boxers. The state now has an unlimited knockdown rule and the doctor can enter the ring only on orders of the referee.
