Thomason Signs With Eagles PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May 20 UP.— Robert Lee Thomason, Philadelphia Eagles first string quarterback, today signed his 1953 contract to become the 37th player in the Eagles fold. Thomason took over as the teams number one quarterback after the third game last year. He was secured by the Eagles in a 1952 off-season deal with the Los Angeles Rams, who had drafted Thomason for the 1949 season.
