Sextet of Well-Matched Sprinters in Brockton Five of Group Have Won Purses In New England During Season SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 20. — Sophomores hold the spotlight at Suffolk Downs tomorrow with a half dozen capable sprinters vying for a ,000 prize in the featured Brockton Purse. T. W. Rearedens Nutmeg Lad, a New England foal, who failed in a recent homebred race but later came back to soundly defeat the speedy Wise Doge, is the top weight of tomorrows line-up with 119 pounds. The other members of the Brockton and their weights are Henry Forrests Triumphant and Mrs. J. M. Branhams Four Night at 117 pounds; Mrs. M. J. Bresna-han, Jr.s Domquil and G. R. Wynhoffs Twig Lee bracketed at 114, and E. A. Simpsons Press K at 112 pounds. Five of the Brockton field have won at least once during the current New England campaign, the lone exception being Domquil. The latter, a highly regarded Four Freedoms colt, has started only once and in that outing finished a bang-up second to suggest he is at peak form. Three riders have been assigned mounts in the featured six-furlong dash with Dick McLaughlin, the current leader among the Suffolk jockeys, slated to ride Four Night. Dudley Vandenborre will handle Triumphant and Johnny Choquette is on Twig Lee, the latter pair being contract riders.
