, Garden State Golf Tourney Results Announced by Devlin GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 27. — Jim Devlin, former golf pro in charge of the annual Garden State golf tournament, announced the final , results and winners of the event that was staged last Monday at the Woodbury Country Club. The over-all low gross was 78, shot by Paul Benners of the mutuels department. Low net in the first division was shared by Jack Higgins, of the Harry M. Stevens Company, and Jack Kennedy, of the Jaclyn Stable, each of whom carded a 72. Low net in the second division was turned in by Frank Murray, who shot a 71 l/2 under the Calloway system of scoring. In the third division, Robert McGee, of the safety department, took top honors wit ha 75. Jimmy Stout was top man among the jockeys, shooting a 75. Devlin, himself a mutuel department employe, capably ar-raiges several such tourneys at various tracks in the East. They have grown considerably in popularity, and there was an excellent turnout of 60 contesctants in this latest of the series.
