TCA Directors to Ask Change in Constitution Calls for All Members to Elect Officers, Select Honored Guests The officers and directors of the Thoroughbred Club of America acted on several subjects at a meeting in Lexington recently. A complete report will be issued soon, but president George Swinebroad and secretary Gus Owens have authorized the release of the following: "1 — It has been decided to ask for a change in the constitution so that all members may be able to vote each year on the officers and directors for the following year. This will mean that each member will receive a ballot to be returned in time to be counted in the election. It is felt that this will give all members a chance to have more participation in the affairs of the club and bring us all a little closer together. "2 — It was also decided to change the method of selecting the guests to be honored at our annual dinner. This selection will not now be left in the hands of the directors or a committee, but will be put into the hands of our entire membership. The details of this are being refined and you will be informed shortly as to how it will be done. Just one more move to allow the participation of our whole club." In the past it has been necessary for members to be present at the election meeting in order to vote.
