! 1 ■ J Eight Milers Entered In Reigh Count Purse Gus G. Likely Omaha Favorite; Worrisome, Comacho Contenders By ART KENNEDY Staff Correspondent AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 27.— An attractive program has been assembled at Ak-Sar-Ben tomorrow for the second twilight session of Omahas current 35-day meeting. All of the eight offerings have capacity fields and three races are routed the full circumference of the oval. In the latter category is the feature event, the Reigh Count Purse, which is scheduled to bring together a dozen three-year-olds and upward at one mile and 70 yards. One of those who has started over the track this year and finished a fast-closing third is W. S. Clines Gus G. He will likely reign as public choice again on the strength of that effort and two victories at Oaklawn prior to shipping here. He has shown a liking for "off" track conditions, which promise to prevail tomorrow. Gus G. will be opposed by a field whose members, with the exception of Mrs. D. T. Crabtrees Clynon, have all entered the winners circle one or more times since the first of the year, while three, Worrisome, Comacho and Dairfair, are winners at the meeting. Of the trio, Worrisomes race on opening day, when she finished in front of the two others mentioned, was most impressive. Comacho and Dairfair scored off that effort. Miss Fenelon, a bang-up second to Comacho last week, had won two for her owners, Rorick and Lane, in Arizona, while finishing five times in the money there and will have strong support in the betting. M. Millers Loyal Order, C. Holmstroms Noddies Son, A. and H. Stables Leap Year Boy and P. P. Shaffers Going Mad were also winners in the Sun State last winter. Blue Teal, a six-year-old By Jimminy gelding, will be making his first start here in the Emerald Hill Stables silks. He has started four times since the first of the year and scored a victory at Floridas Sun-1 shine Park. As something of a "dark horse," his performance will be tabbed with interest by local patrons. The start of Ak-Sar-Bens second week of racing yesterday was surprising in that, for the first time, attendance and mutuel handle figures were below those of the corresponding day last year. The turn-• stile count was 6,927, and "tote" business amounted to 08,027.
