Maine Chance Colt4 First Son of Busher Green trees Palm Tree Also Starts for First Time Against Full Flight and Five Others BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 27. — The Westchester Racing Association is presenting another off-day program at Belmont Park tomorrow, with the ,000 Foxglove Purse for two-year-old colts and , geldings and the ,000 Belmont Spring , Maiden Steeplechase for jumpers who had I not won over brush prior to March 15, as j the feature attractions. There is the intriguing possibility that the eight named for the Foxglove may in- , elude a potential champion. Two of the eight youngsters named will be making ; their debuts and one of these is Maine ■ Chance Farms Jet Action, a chestnut son , of Jet Pilot from the grand mare, Busher, , a first foal whose first appearance on the race track is of more than passing interest, j Jet Action has been training cleverly and comes from a barn that appears well-stocked with fast and fit juveniles this year, recalling the season of 1945, when Beau-Gay, Star Plot, Lord Boswell and Knockdown won such major fixtures as the Hopeful, Futurity, Cowdin, Matron, Remsen, Pimlico Futurity and Endurance Handicap. The other newcomer in the Foxglove is Greentree Stables Palm Tree, a son of Shut Our from Shine II. Greentree, which almost always is well-represented in the juvenile division, does not appear particularly well-armed with young colts at this time. Seen Action in Stakes Of those who have raced, Putnam Stables Swift Sword and Wheatley Stables Full Flight have the best credentials. Full Flight was beaten a nose by the surprising Due de Fer in the William Penn Stakes at Garden State Park last week, and was unplaced behind Catspaw in the Juvenile before that. His races at Jamaica, however, were excellent. Swift Sword finished a length and a half before Full Flight in the Juvenile and led him a similar margin in an earlier dash at Belmont, while both colts were unplaced in the Youthful Stakes at Jamaica. Joe W. Browns St. Tammany and Star-mount Stables The Prince won their last starts, winning maiden races at Garden State and Belmont, respectively. The Foxglove field is completed by Vera S. Bragg s Pass, who was narrowly beaten by Murphs Deb in a 2,500 claimer on Saturday, and Saxon Stables Song Stylist, who finished third to Westover and Dream of Glory on Friday. Dream of Glory is a stablemate of • Palm Tree, who has been training in similar style. Seven have been named for the steeplechase at about two miles and four of them met here on May 15. Rock Hill Farms Virginius won that race, Mrs. S. T. Pattersons Thermion was third, W. M. Duryeas Amik finished fourth and Mrs. Henry Obres Coup de Vite finished last after refusing to break with the field. John M. Schiffs Montadet, F. Ambrose Clarks Escargot and James Cox Bradys Norway complete the band.
