GAELIC GAL dropped back slightly when taken in hand rounding the turn, responded when punished to put away the tiring leaders in the stretch and held MILLDALE safe while drifting out. The latter steadily improved position alter reaching stride and closed resolutely at the end while being forced slightly wide by the winner. MR. BUSTER quickly opened a clear lead when roused entering the stretch, but suddenly faltered in the last eighth. JERRY br. BEST saved ground and finished well. MISS MEGGY began slowly. CONGO KID and UPSETTER quit. MARCHa BRAT was fractious in the gate and fell to his knees at the start. ...... CINDA alertly outsprinled SQUARED cniiAccn AWAY down the backstretch and drew clear at the far turn, then steadily increased her advantage without need of pressure INDIAN LAND began slowly, saved all possible ground racing forwardly placed under steady handling and finished willingly. SQUARED AWAY could not match early speed with CINDA and weakened. NORTHERN STAR was blocked trying to move forward on the inside on the far turn, came again when clear to loom a mild threat, but hung. EAT0NT0WN raced prominently placed and drifted slightly wide while weakening in the stretch. DO REPORT faltered. SAFETY raced on the outside and steadily dropped back. HIGHQUILLO was a forward factor, saved ground and easily opened a clear lead when ready, then bore over and impeded HALS J EST! NG ; meeting the latters challenge midstretch, again drew clear and was disqualified and placed second. HALS JcSTINu, reserved within striking distance, rapidly made up ground to head HIGHQUILLO in the stretch, but was forced back by the latter while next to the rail and hung. BASES LOADED was rated close to the pace and drifted out when called upon. POINT FORTUNE was snugly rated setting the pace, but falterd when hedged. MARAUD showed nothing. BIG DOME WAS INJURED IN THE PADDOCK AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN. ALL WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. Scratched— 87490 Bigdome, 114; 886682 Silver Lamee, 109. Overweight— Reunion, 2 pounds.
