HI GEORGIE assumed command at once, established a rapid pace and held on stubbornly. ALBANY FAIR saved ground to no avail. SEVEN PILLARS was unable to menace. LITTLE AUD went evenly. The latter outran the field to take a comforatble lead after a half mile and continued on gamely when pressed. ALL BOOTS, hard ridden to near the early pace, moved outside on the final turn and was unable to menace. PACIFIC BOUND finished with a belated rush. LONG HILLhad no mishap. WINSTAY was unable to keep up. AIR ROCKET showed nothing. PLASTERED was never prominent. SHIRLEYS PRIDE was unable to stay with the pace. EYE CATCHER was not persevered with after failing to reach the leader on the final turn. GHOST RAIDER was outrun. M., forwardly placed under stout restraint, came between horses for the drive, responded to stout urging to assume command and prevailed over late challengers: ACADEMY AWARD, roused leaving the backstretch, was forced to lose ground on the final turn and closed willingly. MONTANA SANDS moved with a rush after three furlongs to enter contention, but was unable to reach the leader. TWINTONE outran the field to set the early pace saved RHiVIS weakened- MINys ONE forced the early pace, came inside to take brief command and faltered. PINOCCHIO was unable to keep up. NEB JR. dropped back after the start, rallied near the end, but was unable to menace. FLYAWAY JACK had no mishap. TIME FOR SPEED assumed a short lead entering the first turn while brushing GREEK STADIUM, drew clear, skirted the inner rail and held on gamely to earn dead-heat with GREEK STADIUM. The latter recovered quickly after being impeded at the first turn, worked his way up on the outside, came inside on the final turn, responded to stout urging and drifted out badly through the final furlong. GREEK STADIUM was disqualified for impeding ROSE BEAUTY and placed third. ROSE BEAUTY, close up under steadying restraint, rallied when sent up on the outside and was taken up slightly as GREEK STADIUM came out. MELLO JACK had no mishap. AFRICANCE, close to the pace under steadying restraint, flattened out when put to pressure. ARMY PAL and SMART CHOICE were outrun. DARING MATE had no mishap. RIBBED weakened. CHERRY PRINCE raced wide. CRACKICE retired steadily after a half mile. VAGUE was unable to near the leaders. ANDANTINO was through early.
