JET ACE — May be about due to win a six-furlong race if. not pitted too high. . Showed good speed in recent effort. GOOD CALL — Winning effort was very very good. Was an easy victress after having been away poorly. May be capable of trimming better. r- MANCHAC — Is a steady runner who may not have liked the muddy going last out. Might try him again on a fast track. LUCE CHANGE— Was all over the* track in last, but was a strong going second. m Wants ,500 claiming price. ■ PLUNGER— May be rounding to good form W again. Last outing was not too bad. f Wants a distance. I REFRESHER — This one has been trying I for a long time, but might soon find a spot that is soft enough to negotiate. I BOILER PLATE— Maiden two-year-old I with a fair turn of early speed; was very J wide in last race. CRITERIA — Is a rather slow beginner that could come through in a distance race when the claiming price reads about ,500 or less. SOLID RED — Closed a big gap in a mile and a sixteenth race here in recent start. Could be rounding to best form. BARSHOE — Is in good hands and has turned in a couple of good efforts. Royal r chance to come through in next. REBUS — Showed improvmeent in recent outing and if on good behavior in gate and breaks well, could take it all. DETROIT COFFEE MONEY — Marshall Irish-bred star is regaining top form and recently worked a mile in 1:41% handily. EVER BRIGHT— Pollard and Harkins stakes winning filly is razor sharp and breezed five furlongs in 1:01% handily. WHITE CLIFF— Bad racing luck probably cost this useful gelding a victory in last start; capable of beating same class field. ALMENOW — Aged but quick sprinter from G and G Stable finished strongly in recent start; due for early trip to winners ring. THISTLE WAR— Hard-hitting middle distance racer comes from smartly-trained barn; jus£ missed against Helwan last time out. SICKLES IMAGE — Hartwick. homebred stakes winner makes impressive physical appearance; has been four furlongs in :48 here. WHIFFENPOOF— Probably needed his race in the Alger Memorial and worked five furlongs last Friday in 1:01% handily. THE GINK— Brown Hotel Stable mainstay was never in better condition and has been six furlongs in 1:14% here. SWEET SEELEY— Speedy Halcyon-sired filly can handle muddy or dry footing; belongs with ,500 class sprinters. MALLEABLE— East View Stable juvenile displayed good speed against Diamond Mine and has worked satisfactorily. HARVEST TIME — Speedy five-year-old sprinter improves with racing; should soon top a field of ,000 platers. NOCALULLA — Lancaster four-year-old raced well in recent six-furlong event; seems ready to earn set of brackets. BELMONT PARK . THE PEAK— Two-year-old maiden raced creditably in debut and should not be much longer in. earning initial set of brackets. QUIET STEP— Has been training cleverly as can be evidenced by latest six-furlong trial in 1:13%, handily. BENBOW— This jumper was knocked off stride when making an apparent victorious rally last time. Better racing luck is all thats required. INCOGNITA— Was practically left at post in last start, then closed gamely. Tab for future score against similar rivals. BIG MARK — Stumbled leaving the gate in latest engagement and was forced to take overland route thereafter. Merits chance for atonement. ARMAGEDDON — Is prepping splendidly for future engagement over a distance. Recently reeled off mile work in 1:43%. CATSPAW — Rankness during post parade probably cost this youngster victory in last stake assignment. Improvement in next start is expected. BLAZING HOME— Closed resolutely in sprint event and appears ready for creditable route effort. JUESBU — Disappointed at short odds when bested by Fair Brother. Is ready to turn back ,000 rivals. PRIMATE— First start following lengthy absence was highly impressive. Could score at next asking against formidable sprinters. BEST YEARS — Has steadily improved with ; racing and should prove difficult to down in future starts. GAMBLER — Slight drop in classification is all needed to assure victory for this shifty sprinter. DICTAR — Appeared a trifle short in Braca- dale Handicap and that one may have served as the necessary tightener. HOWS TRICKS— The manner in which this Greentree miss bested her opposition m representatives as being ready to win: in last start would seem to suggest additional future victories. MONMOUTH PARK KAYS CHILDREN— Distance plater, who is usually outrun in the early stakes, has been sharpened for speed with short morning spins. PASSEMBUD — Two-year-old colt who is a full brother to the stakes-winning Passemson. Has already shown good speed and should have a touch of class. BLUE LABEL II. — Has been slow coming into form, and his last race at Garden State Park is the only-recent effort indicating his true ability. MISS NIMBLE — An exceedingly fast filly. Will be hard to catch when entered with racers of her sex. INDIAN LAD — Juvenile has been slow developing his racing talent, but improvement is now due. SKY WORLD— Appeared to be headed for a winning chance when knocked back in his last race. Other recent outings can be disregarded. LIBERTY LUCK— Roan gelding encountered bad racing luck in practically every one of his Garden State efforts and he is overdue. WAR LASS — Filly was not in a running mood at Garden State and improvement can be expected. SETUBAL— A r ge n t i n e-b r e d colt has started but twice in this country. Was "short" the first time and had no chance after interference in the second. FRESH BREEZE— Veteran racing mare always been fond of this course and can be depended on to earn her way. THASIAN HERO — Came out of his last race in good condition and is expected to return to his honest ways. WOODLAND — Sharp improvement has been noticed in this juvenile colts workouts. ROYAL TOP — Little to recommend him on form, but could score a big upset if in mood. SCOBEYVILLE— May not be quite up to stakes calibre, but can handle most of the others. • . DELAWARE PARK MAABROOK — Returned to competition with an easy victory in 1:11 flat and should continue good form. IRWIN W.— Two-year-old maiden of the ,000 variety who should find suitable spot for graduation. GANDER— Jeffords two-year-old was impeded in debut and should improve off the effort. GOLDEN ISLE — Apparently overmatched in the Polly Drummond, but should handle non-winners of two. LCjCKED IN — Raced well in recent outing and should handle field of ,500 sprinters. JOE MANDELL — Veteran plater was deprived of victory in last when brushed by tiring pacemaker. ADOPT — Made up considerable ground in recent sprint and may be stretched out for next. TAMALE — Forced wide during closing rally after having encountered trouble during early running. REGAL MANNER — Disliked the footing last out, but may regain winning ways over a fast track. SWISS KNIGHT — Was unable to handle the off track in last, but could make amends for dull showing. CONFUSED— Taken up sharply while running well in last; best suited with maiden youngsters. SHINING — Weakened slightly in last, but displayed sufficient tenacity to suggest middle-distance abilities. ; CRANWOOD PARK PENNON — Turned in a strong race here Thursday and bears watching in next start. KATIES JACK — Figures to improve a great deal over his local debut and may be hard to beat next time out. STRAIGHT OFF— Was far off the pace in his latest race and closed some ground in the final eighth. If rated a little closer next time, should turn the trick. HECTIC HOUR — Was short in his race Thursday, but figures to show great improvement in his next effort against a cheap field going six furlongs. BETTY SMART— Trainer Kay Scott has this daughter of Copper Lad in top condition and she may come right back in next outing at four furlongs. VALLEY DOCTOR— Bore out on the far turn in most recent effort, but if that can be corrected, this Dr. Freeland gelding can be rough. HANDLE — Stopped badly going six furlongs Thursday, but should stick it out in a half-mile dash. BARTS ENEGRY— Had a little the worst of it on the far turn in latest race and if accorded better racing luck, should earn brackets. CARTERS PRIDE— A bay daughter of Lovely Night turned in an excellent performance in only race over this track and should make it two straight. BONZIAH SENIAH— Was going to win the ninth race Thursday if he hadnt lugged in through final seventy yards. If trainer Price can correct this failing, the hard-hitting veteran plater could win next out. FAIR DEGREE— Was- a trifle short at su "•■•mile and one -sixteenth in latest race here. This one appears better suited at seven panels and is capable of beating 1,500 claimers. PATSY BRAND— Had a good late run in last race and may get home first going a mile and one-eighth against a cheap field. SUFFOLK DOWNS WILD FOX — Served notice in recent, bang-up second that he is ready to engage better-than-average sprinters. ROYAL MARVEL — Consistent handicap performer has been flashing good morning trials, equipped with blinkers. RESTLESS JOE — Was probably in need of his last outing. Has worked creditably and could score at next asking. TOBACCO KING — Cheap plater who is showing steady improvement to suggest a winning performance is on tap. FRIENDLY SANDS — Was probably the best while finishing second in her last. Poor racing luck cost her more lengths than she was beaten. ROYAL FLORIDA — The manner in which this fellow has accounted for his last two races suggests he should continue his success. QUEEN OF LOVE — A juvenile "who displayed high turn of speed only to weaken near end of five-furlong race. Should benefit off that race. HIGH JACKIE— Jim OBrey has this one ready for brackets as his last would suggest. WATCH .UNION — A stronger rider should atone for the defeat suffered by this one •in last outing. PETERS BEST — Reported as working smartly at Rockingham Park. May score at first asking. RIVER DOWNS TIGER FLASH— Has been working regularly over the Coney Island oval and has a liking for track. May return investment with first asking. UL BERTHA — Though beaten off in recent start, may find maiden field to her liking soon. MELMARS U. N.— Unfortunate racing luck cost this one his second victory in a young racing career. MAD CORD — Connections put a halter on this gelding after a short stay in new barn. They regard him highly. BOILING SPRING — Signator filly just galloped in her maiden victory. Looks and acts like a good juvenile. TRIP LADY— Another juvenile that was very green in debut. Settled down in last furiong and improvement expected. CUNNY— Recent half in :47% shows that this one" is ready to step right into the picture here. ALABAMA BELLE — Jolley-trained racer has been bumping into too much horse in Cavalier Trim in recent races; is a capable filly. LUCIETE — Slow start cost this one considerable ground while a favorite in last outing. May make amends soon. ATOMIC MESSAGE — Steady performer who showed gameness. in recent second behind Lucuna; seems worth while watching. GREAT PLAINS — Age is no barrier to this Omaha gelding as the distances get longer. FAIRMOUNT PARK MISS PIN UP — Probably needed last race; works show she is ready for a top effort. SAYBIRD— Has been turning in some very ; good morning workouts. SILVER VALJEAN— Showed a lot of speed in last out here; should be in winners circle before long. GRADUATE — Recent works have shown vost improvement, should be giving good account of himself soon. OMITTED — Last ijace was not one of his best; should be able to beat the same type of horses he met last out. ORBIT — Was pitched a little too high last out; should do much better with own class. CIRCULATOR — Just missed narrowly in last out over this racing strip; seems bound to improve off that effort. STILTON— Won his first start, finished strongly in second start; should win more races if not overmatched. BARBIE B — Is training very good, likes this racing strip. WAGEL — Finished very fast in last out, should benefit greatly off that effort. ; PLUCKY MARGE— Appears to be rounding to form; likes cheap company. MALS BOY — Former high class sprinter; should be giving good account of himself soon if recent workouts are any indication. OMAHA DANETA — Three-year-old Alsab filly who shows signs of class. Has been sprinting but late foot indicates longer distances ] more to her liking. KOO TOWN— A likely repeater. Won last in good time after taking the overland. ] Can stand a hike in claiming price and has won over a route. BLACK AVENGER— Recent workouts indicate this one to be razor sharp. A slight drop in claiming price may be helpful. EM— Has rounded to form and should beat cheap ones at a distance in the near . ; ] ] future. Came from far out of it to be second in a photo. RIHTLIi — In the money all three starts here. Lost a. tough one last time when boy moved too late. Early score indicated. BEAUVILLE — Met interference at the top of the stretch in last. Merits another chance at same distance in like company. SELTZER — Should repeat at next asking. Was breeding at the end of recent effort which resulted in five-length victory over cheap but speedy competition. LITTLE MALLO — Two - year - old maiden who should graduate* soon. Closed fast in debut after sluggish start. Race should have sharpened her. GREY SCOUT— Last effort indicates readiness for best. Finished in the money after circling the field on the turn, coming from far back. BLUE ARIEL— Last effort not true. Wasnt persevered with after being in close quarters early. FREE SOUL— Has his speed and prefers to use it. Was rated behind Butch K. last out, in a race devoid of early pace. Likes it on the head end. CLASSY LASSIE— Greatly improved three-year-old filly who can carry her speed over the longer distances. Early brackets seem likely.
