Varcarcel Handles Winner DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 13. — Apprentice Carlos Juan Varcarcel handled his initial winner in this country, booting home Mrs. Helen Ra-haims B Minor in the eighth race here yesterday. Varcarcel, who is 17 years old, is under contract to the Rahaim establishment and he rode in Puerto Rico before moving to the United States.
