Disqualification in Dead Heat Results in Unusual Placing SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 13.— The 24,022 patrons who visited Suffolk Downs this afternon witnessed one of the most unusual happenings and one of the oddest placings in the history of the sport in this sector. It all happened in the Priscilla Purse, a six-furlong dash. In that race W. J. Beatties Time for Speed and R. E. Harpers Greek Stadium wound up in a dead heat for first honors a length and a half ahead of Oakhurst Farms Rose Beauty. In the run through the stretch Time for Speed was in front racing along the inside rail. Tony DeSpirito astride Greek Stadium had his charge under a steady drive and the Amphitheatre colt drifted out badly with each stride. That caused jockey Hubert Trent to take Continued on Page Tw9 Disqualification in Dead Heat Results in Unusual Placing Continued from Page One up sharply on Rose Beauty and eliminate the fillys chance of winning. After viewing the pictures of the race the stewards confirmed the foul but in making the race official declared that the way they interpreted the rules, Rose Beauty was to be elevated to a dead heat with Time for Speed. Hence the final decision made by the stewards placed Time for Speed and Rose Beauty in a dead heat for first money, despite the fact that they finished a length and a half apart and Greek Stadium was set back to third money. C. T. Chenerys Belluno received a pow-erfu stretch ride by jockey Jimmy Brennan and outf inished Jack Amiels Sun Warrior, ridden by Harold "Red" Keene, to annex the featured John Alden Handicap. The pair completed the six furlongs in 1:10% with the winning son of Bossuet taking the nod by a head. Another neck away, Mrs. . M. J. Bresnahan, Jr.s, favored Domquil was third. e e V e e ri h p / ! il
