SISTER CORA, a keen factorfrom the beginning, raced by MISS ZILT entering the stretch, then held on gamely to withstand PINSK. The latter gradually worked way forward, closed fast under urging and was getting to the winner at the finish. POLTROON saved ground throughout, finished willingly under strong handling but could not overtake the top pair. RIDGE RUNNER gave a good effort and had no mishap, HONEY JAR was outrun. CALICO CAT lacked early speed. WOOD H showed nothing after beginning alertly. LEFT BANK was through early. SIR TINT was far back throughout. KELLYS MISTAKE, in hand to the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and wore down SPEEDY JET in the last strides. The latter took an early lead, entered the stretch with a good advantage but was weakly ridden during the final furlong and could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. HI SUZANNE lacked early foot but finished fairly well under punishment. SUNNYBROOK SUE raced well to the stretch, then weakened. WILKS LOSS showed nothing. THOS. E. FIGHTING CLOUD, a keen factor from the beginning, took command entering the stretch, but was hard ridden thereafter to repulse ISLE SEA. The latter saved ground when outrun early, drifted out at the final turn, but closed fast when straight for the drive and was getting to the winner at the finish. MARTHA PAULA, crowded back immediately after the start, took command approaching the stretch, but faltered when set down in the drive. NEDS CHOICE was unable to better his position when set down through the stretch. ARPEGE tired after racing well to the stretch. SEDULOUS had early foot, but failed to stay. DEAN CAVY went to the front right L1 after the start and, going in his best form, increased his advantage after entering the stretch and was never in danger of being headed. BLAZE was taken in hand early, then moved up on the outside around the stretch turn, but failed to get going soon enough and, although closing stoutly, was unable to menace the winner. WARLESS displayed good early speed and displayed courage in the final drive. NIGHT TOWN, an early trailer, finished in determined fashion. SUNNY DALE was well „ rated 4 while racing close up in the first six furlongs, then moved determinedly on the outside of the early leaders in the last eighth to catch BAYBROOK in the final thirty yards and win under pressure. BAYBROOK was well rated while making the pace and saving ground in the stretch, held on with fine courage. ROYAL MUSTANG, closest to BAYBROOK while the latter was making the pace, moved to the latter at midstretch but faltered in the final drive. BIG STRETCH trailed for half the distance, then came fast on the outside after leaving the backstretch but went wide on the stretch turn and displayed but little in the final drive. JAY JAY GEE was away well and racing strongly while being outpaced by QUEEN HOPEFUL, moved to the latter after, entering the stretch, and taking command nearing midstretch, drew out to score by a good margin, although hustled along to the end. QUEEN HOPEFUL showed fine early speed,- and although unable to resist the winner, turned in an excellent effort. INFLATIONARY closed ground gradually, although racing a trifle wide in the stretch. ROLLINS KAPPY was a fairly good contender all the way. BIT 0 BIM finished resolutely. GOLLY had early speed, but was beween horses in the stretch. RITE-SPEED went wide on the stretch turn.
