C. Bogenschutz has carded the ,000 Antioch Purse for a six and one-half furlongs dash, and it attracted a field of 12 prospective starters, most of whom have been racing in 1 stakes a good part of their competitive 2 careers. They include Fairway Farms Recline and •t J. S. Bradleys Sun David, winners on con-t secutive days, June 4 and 5, at this meeting, f Both will carry 122 pounds. They face some formidable opposition from the rest of the band, which includes: Reverie Knoll Farms Le Monde, 116; Hasty House Farms Ruhe and Inseparable, R. R. Thomas Joe Graves, Golden Maxim Stables Eljay, E. C. Roths Spring Khal, Red Top Stables Red Charger, Mrs. Herbert Herff s Screemin Jack, H. H. Mundys Commandant and Woddbreak. All of these, except Woodbreak, who has 105 pounds, get in with 110 if their riders can all make that weight. x Second to Elixir in Lee Handicap 1 After finishing second to Elixir in the 3 Robert E. Last year, he won Lincoln Fields ] Narcissus Handicap,, and finished second in 1 seven other stakes, third in three others, including the Lincoln Handicap, won by his 1 stablemate, Seaward. The f ive - year - old ] Ruhe has been a stakes winner each season £ since taking the Hawthorne Juvenile Handicap as a two-year-old. At three, he won the 1 Arkansas Derby, got one. division of the ] Blue Grass Stakes when Sonic was disqualified, 1 and placed in nine other stakes i including third in Count Turfs Kentucky 1 Derby. Ruhes eight -year -old stablemate, the 1 perennial stakes winner, Inseparable he ] won the Chicago Handicap last year, has ] failed to win in nine starts this year, but i finished second three times, third twice. Le Monde won. one "of his two starts as a * two-year-old, one of four races last year, and his first start of the present season. In ; his only other start this year, he was fifth to Baybrook in the Fleming Handicap on J June 6. Screemin Jack has started four times this 5 year. The gray gelding won one of these, a and finished second in the other three.
