Two Backs Join Bears The Chicago Bears yesterday signed two backs, rookie halfback Don Gleisner, Van-derbilt, and veteran fullback Emerson Cole, formerly with the Cleveland Browns, for the 1953 season. Gleisner was a defensive specialist at Vanderbilt and during two seasons averaged eight interceptions per year. Cole came to the Bears on waivers from the Browns last December.
