EARLY BULL, a keen factor from the beginning, took command after three-eighths mile, entered the streich with a clear lead, but was ridden out to retain the advantage. SIR HOOP, never far back but on the outside, closed strongly, but could not reach the top one. BROSE raced evenly for a half-mile, made a mild bid in the early stretch, then faltered. FOREVER HI had no mishap. GATEWOODS GAL showed nothing. CANAAN PASS began fast, but failed to stay. THEODORE B. was never prominent. OMOS CHOICE was far back throughout. HONEY JAR gradually worked way forward, responded to brisk handling during the stretch run and, after disposing of the leaders, held POLTROON safe. The latter began fast, dropped back and raced evenly to the stretch, then finished strongly, but could not* overtake the winner. MUSIC held on well in a good effort and had no mishap. MARSE ROBERT drifted out entering the stretch and failed to rally when straightened for the drive. NEWARK PRIDE lacked early speed. HOOP GANO took an early lead, set the pace to the last eighth mile, then gave way. JACKIES IDOL raced wide PAMARIS had early speed, but failed to stay. FLYING RAID was through early. The latter gradually worked way forward, was sent to the outside for the drive ana* finished strongly, but could not overtake the winner. CONNIE-JO engaged TRE TIO for a half-mile, but had nothing left for the stretch run. JERKY was outrun. CATHY JO had early foot, but failed to stay. MISS NAP showed nothing. TRE TIO took command at the break, set the pace to the stretch while racing with cpNNIE-JO,i then gave way. RED RIVER showed nothing. JOE PAGLINA began alertly and raced evenly to the stretch, then responded well when set down for the drive and, after bumping with CROSSt WAVE near the furlong pole, held the latter safe. CROSS WAVE, forwardly placed from the beginning, drifted out during the stretch run, bumped with JOE PAGLINA and could not overtake the winner. A foul claim by CROSS WAVES rider against JOE PAGLINA was not allowed by the stewards.* DUSTLIGHT lacked early speec*-but finished fast in the middle of the track. 5AVED AGAIN finished well under brisk urging. ANOVAS toolf an early lead, set the pace until near the finish, then faltered. BONRILLA was outrun. REFUN disliked the sloppy track. ODDS ADVANCE failed to stay after showing early speed.
