ELEVEN-BOY JR., taken back off the pace and steadied until the final quarter mile, moved around horses to vie for the lead nearing the final furlong, and drew out. UNCLES GIFT forced the pace, gained command inside the final furlong and weakened. RESTLESS JOE assumed command when ready and drew out readily and faltered. BLACK ROVER passed tiring horses. HESPERUS showed nothing. BEAU-BEAU raced in spots. MASTER BRIAN was unable to keep up. TOETOTOE moved close to the pace after a half-mile and weakened. WARDRIL raced close to the pace under steadying restraint, moved into command after straightened for the drive and withstood the challenge of LITTLE AUD. The latter, never far off the leaders, rallied when set down and was pressing. RAMPAGEOUS had no mishap. BIG BLUE saved ground to no avail. MISS STONE weakened. TEXAS REWARD broke sluggishly, worked his way up along the inside and ran into blind switch near the sixteenth pole and was eliminated. GUY-LARK showed speed for a half-mile and stopped. ACADEMY .AWARD, unhurried in early stages, moved around the field when roused, assumed commanl and drew clear, and was under intermittent urging to prevail over PINOCCHIO. The latter improved "-his position gradually until the stretch, unleashed a late rally and was overtaking the winner. FLUSHING DUSK rallied mildly in the closing stages. JAMAL raced close to the early pace, vying for the lead after a half-mile, but was not good enough. SOUTHERN COOKN opened a clear lead before a quarter mile, held sway until the stretch and then weakened. FLY AROUND showed nothing. NEB JR. lacked early speed. MARTHA P. weakened early. OUR DORIE raced close to the pace under light restraint to the final quarter mile, responded readily when set down, gained racing room along the inside to take command and was drawing out at the end. PLUS FOURS forced the pace under steadying restraint, assumed command under a drive but was no match for the winner. NOCH EINS, sluggish leaving the gate, rushed boldly on the outside to near the leaders but had nothing left. U. S. NAVY established a rapid pace for five furlongs and weakened. ROYAL DUKE showed nothing. SEAFLASH broke sluggishly, was unable to reach the leaders and was not persevered when beaten. GRAND DEMAND hobbled leaving the gate nearly going down, recovered but was unable to threaten. LITTLE WHIM flashed brief speed and stopped.
