Thasian Heros Longfellow Win Makes Everybody Happy MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 25. — Thasian Hero, claimed by J. L. McKnight not long ago for 0,000 repaid his new owner with interest when he won a division of the Longfellow Handicap over the turf course at Monmouth Park on Wednesday. Ridden by Robert Louis Stevenson, Thasian Hero earned 2,800 by his score. The victory boosted McKnights winnings at the meeting to 5,400 and placed him second on the list, just behind Jouett Shouse who has earnings of 9,550 through Cindas two local stakes triumphs. Thasian Hero also was the fifth winner saddled at Monmouth Park so far by trainer W. R. Mitchell and lifted him into a tie for the lead among the conditioners with J. B. Bond and Sid Jacobs. McKnight and Mitchell were leading owner and trainer, respectively, of the 1952 Monmouth meeting. The happiest jockey at Monmouth yesterday was Stevenson following his win on Thasiaii Hero, his. first stakes victory. He entered the winners circle waving to the crowd and shouting: "How do you like our 0,000 claim?"
