Fain Out Another Week Ferris Fain, Chicago White Sox first baseman whose left hand was injured in a Washington night club brawl August 2, will be out of play for at least another week. Dr. John Claridge, team physician, said Saturday. Claridge said that Fain, whose position has been filled by Bob Boyd, could throw a ball . but the injured hand could not stand the jar of hitting.
