No Rain-Out Policy Is Set For Jackson RacewayMeet JACKSON, Mich., Aug. 22. The trotters and pacers will go at Jackson Raceways 36-night fall meeting, September 21 through October 31, on the same " no rain-out policy" adopted this year by the other Detroit area harness tracks. Leon A. Slavin, president of Jackson Trotting Association, has announced that the job of keeping the Jackson, Michigan, half-mile oval an all-weather strip has been given to Charles Coon as track superintendent. Coon is considered one of the midwests best authorities on harness track conditioning and performed similar services this year for both Hazel Park Harness Raceway and Northville Downs. It will be recalled that Hazel Park had rain on 24 of the 33 days of its spring meeting without a single race being cancelled. Northville lost only one-third of a single nights program in the 48 days of its summer meeting just concluded. WILLIAM V.
