Pashpie Seeks Her Sixth Win of Year Apache Filly Has Deeside, Frenabilbepa to Contend With in Randall Feature , RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, , Aug. 22. Amory L. Haskell, president of I Monmouth Park, will be theN honored guest here at Randall Park on Monday. The featured race will be titled the Woodland I Farm which is the name of Haskells 170-acre breeding establishment in Red Bank, ! New Jersey. Several of the other races have been named for sires that Haskell has 1 standing on his farm. While at Randall j Park, Haskell will present an oil painting 1 of Three Rings, winner of the 1949 edition of the Monmouth Handicap, to his owner, Mrs. Evelyn L. Hopkins. j The feature .has attracted a small but well balanced field of six three-year-olds and upward matching strides at six fur- I longs for the major share of the ,500 purse. Those, accepting, the conditions of the race are H. H. Muncys Frenabilbepa I. J. Collins Reaping Love, Mrs. Mabel R. Burkes Pashpie, M. R. Hamars Sailors Choice, Doug Davis, Jr.s Miss Tinka, and Slowey and Pe tricks Deeside. Most of these horses met last week with 1 Pashpie finishing a strong second to Miss . Degree, being beaten only a half length in 1:11. Pashpie came from off the pace in that particular face, making up a little more than two lengths in the final sixteenth of a mile. The daughter of Apache is slated to carry 102 pounds which will include the services of apprentice William Hartack and they shape up as a hard combination to beat. Pashpie will be seeking her sixth victory of the season in 16 starts and has earned over 0,000 for her owner. Deeside Greatly Improved Deeside is one of the most improved horses in training here and will have many backers in attendance. His last race was at a mile and one-sixteenth and after leading most of the way he backed up a trifle after passing the furlong pole and wound up third. The geldings best races are at six furlongs and he figures to be right there on Monday. His trainer, Frank Boh, has named no rider, but he did claim the apprentice allowance and will check in with 105 pounds. Frenabilbepa, the track announcer and chart callers nemesis, ran a good race in her most recent effort finishing fourth to Miss Degree, showing speed in spots while saving ground. Before that race she was fourth once again, that time to Color Guard and was only beaten two and one-half lengths. She is a non-winner this year in four starts, but Monday could be the day that she will break the ice. Last year she scored in three of 14 outings while racing in Maryland. Sailors Choice ran last in that same race mares first race since shipping here from New York and she is expected to show a sharp improvement. Sailors Choice has won over 0,000 this year being in the money 10 of 18 starts. Her most recent tally was chalked up at Aqueduct on July Fourth when as the favorite she defeated Kings Daisy by five lengths while being ridden by Willie Boland. Reaping Love turned in one of her better races of the season last time out, finishing third to Miss Degree. She finished up gamely after being sluggish in the early stages. Reaping Love has only won once in her last 25 starts, however, and apparently has gone way back since her smashing second to Royal Mustang this spring at Keeneland. Miss Tinka is scheduled to be ridden by Thomas Clinch and to carry 106 pounds. Her last race was very disappointing to her connections when she finished unplaced after tiring badly in the final three-sixteenths. This being a wide open race she must be given a good chance of providing the popular Doug Davis, Jr., with a victory.
