TOMl BLU went to the front at once and, showing considerable improvement over his last effort, was never in serious danger of being headed, although prsesed by JUST US GIRLS in the last eighth. The latter was dropped down on the inside nearing the far turn to improve her position steadily while saving ground, but was unable to reach the winner. COMMAND POST was well up in the early stages, but weakened near the finish. MARYLAND LINE soon dropped back to last place, and closed ground when too late. BETSY T. and SHADY TUNE were outpaced. M. made a strong move on the outside nearing the stretch turn and, forging to the front of SHOTRAL in the last furlong, had enough left to hold SERVICE. The latter was a strong contender from the start and, going well to the end, was pressing the winner. SHOTRAL was in slight reserve while racing close up and got to the front on the inside at midstretch, but was unable to last CARMARGO BILL made up some ground to finish well up. HAPPY AGE was going well at the finish. RUSH STREET made a move between hcrses entering the stretch, but lacked the power to carry through. PLUNGER was outpaced. Scratched 984833 Perfect Sweep, 110.
