I., Aug. 22. Racing comes back to Narragansett on Monday and all indications point to one of the most interesting autumn meetings ever offered by the Rhode Island track. Judge James E. Dooley and his assistants have put the emphasis on new thoroughbreds for the New England patrons to witness. With the good array of performers which are shipping over from Rockingham Park plus stables shipping in from New Jersey, New York and Ohio, racing secretary "Ty" Shea will have top flight thoroughbreds from which to fashion his daily feature races. Five stakes are to be run at the meeting headed by the 0,000 added Narragansett Special on September 19. The first of the blue-ribbpned events goes next Saturday when two-year-old colts and geldings vie for a 0,000 added prize in the six-furlong Newport Stakes. The Newport starts a busy week end for the Gansett track as the 0,000 added Roger Williams Handicap, a mile and a sixteenth event for three-year-olds and upward, is to be offered on Labor Day. The James H. Connors Memorial Stakes is up for decision on September 12. Styled for two-year-olds at six furlongs, that race also carries an added value of 0,000 added. The other-big event on the agenda is the Jeanne DArc Stakes for two-year-old fillies to be run on September 16. Like the other juvenile races on the stakes list, the Jeanne DArc has an added value of 0,000. Specicl to Draw Stars Racing secretary "Ty" Shea, between meetings, has completed a swing around the country contacting horsemen for nominations to the stakes. From his report it is gleaned that such pretentious outfits as Calumet Farm, Greentree Stable and Brookmeade, to mention a few, will be represented during the meeting, especially in the Narragansett Special. Visitors who appreciated the improvements they saw during the summer meeting will be happy at the further additions that have been finished during the four weeks interim. Extensions have been made in the rear of the clubhouse which will remove the congestion that formerly was so bothersome on big days. More facilities for the especial comfort of ladies have been added and additional seating accommodations around "the grounds will be appreciated. Mondays feature has been styled for three-year-olds to vie at a mile and 70 yards for a ,000 purse. Named the Red Bridge for one of the spans on the main artery out to the track from Providence, the event has attracted 10 overnight starters with E. J. Arnolds Pacoy the top-weight under an impost of 119 pounds.- Opposing the Arnold colt will be Fred Wyses Andromeda, who established a mile track mark in his last outing at Rockingham; Margo Stables Greek Stadium, C F.
