Crowd of 7,000 Witnesses Hamilton, Ohio Program HAMILTON, Ohio, Aug. 22. A record-smashing crowd of approximately 7,000 jammed their way into the Butler County Fair Grounds to witness the first Saturday program of the 19-day meeting. The crowd was still arriving as the field went post-ward for the first race and the infield was fast filling with fans taking advantage of the facilities provided on the grass. Pete Maxwell sent out his fourth winner of the meeting when he saddled Air Poise in the first race of the afternoon. Air Poise gained his second victory of the week and needed 1:26 to travel the about seven furlongs. The Equistone gelding was ridden by young Dravo Foley who scored the second win of his young career while looking back over his shoulder during the final sixteenth. Air Poise was slightly overlooked by the huge throng and paid 2.40 for his triumph.
