! Stewards1 Rulings " HAZEL PARK, Mich., Aug. 22. Th board of stewards ruled: "Apprentice jockey LeRoy Cargile is suspended for 10 racing days, effective Tuesday, August 25 to Friday, September 4, inclusive, for careless riding in the third race on Friday, August 21." EXHIBITION PARK, Vancouver, , B. C, Aug. 22. The stewards issued the following ruling here Thursday: "Jockey J. Sivewright is suspended for three days for tightening up on the leaders turning into the stretch while astride his mount, Onto Glory, in the sixth race on Tuesday, August 18." LINCOLN, Nebr., Aug. 22. The stewards Friday issued the following ruling: "Owner-trainer Bay Johnson is fined 5 for failure to have his horse Dis-belle, in the paddock on time for the sixth race on August 21, 1953." LINCOLN, Nebr., Aug. 22. The stewards issued the following rulings under date of August 21: "On the report of the official chemist of the Nebraska State Racing Com- mission that the saliva taken from the horse Big Ditch, winner of the seventh race on Wednesday, August 19, 1953, contained a drug of the nature of procaine, owner-trainer Joe Threlkeld and all horses owned or trained by him are suspended for the- balance of this meeting and his case is referred to the Nebraska State Racing Commission for . further action. Owner-trainer Joe Threlkeld is ordered to remove his horses from the grounds immediately and during the term of this suspension he shall be denied access to and the privileges of the grounds. "The official finish is revised as follows: first, Prairie Moon; second, Teal; third, Charming Bart; fourth, Verbena. "The disqualification in no way affects the mutuel pay-off." "Owner Ernest Latham, is suspended for the balance of the meeting for violation of Rule 125, possession of prohibited drugs and equipment . His case is referred to the Nebraska State Racing Commission for further action. Owner Ernest Latham, is ordered to remove his horses from the grounds immediately and during the term of this suspension he shall be denied access to and the privileges of the grounds."
