WAR LOVER began alertly and opened a commanding lead on the turn, then remained under pressure to hold the opposition clear. FLYING JET saved ground improving position on the turn and finished well. INLET MISS could not keep up early, then was blocked trying to rally in the stretch and. probably could have been much closer. TITANS MATCH failed to reach the early leaders and weakened slightly. SAUCY QUEEN was done after a half mile. RAGS TO RICHES bore out on the turn and dropped back when punished. ROYAL-GRANDEUR was in close quarters soon after the start. GAY STREET was rated along evenly after being hustled to the front at the start, repulsed POPADARIS entering the stretch and increased advantage under steady pressure. DANDY DAN, a keen factor from the beginning, held on evenly in the final stages. OIL GENE, crowded badly entering and rounding the first turn, was steered to the outside for clear racing and did not respond when urged. POPADARIS saved ground and shewed in front briefly making his bid on the final turn, then suddenly weakened. DICKS DIAMOND was outrun. ALLOYED was caught in a jam at the first turn. KING DICK could not reach the leaders racing on the outside and faltered. GAY. IMPULSE was outrun. PAGE PUG gave a dull effort. CHARITY BALL was bumped and crowded at the first turn. PETEY WEE went to the front at the start and evenly held sway despite drifting slightly wide near the end. EXTRACT was hustled along racing on the inside and finished well to best POWER RIDER. The latter loomed boldly from the outside on the stretch turn, but weakened under punishment. DIVING BOOTS had to swing to the inside for clear racing entering the last eighth, then finished well. TONGA PRINCE saved all possible ground. SLIDE APART drifted-wide under punishment in the stretch. ARADAC raced greenly.- KEENSON had good early speed and faltered. POWDER FLASK, steadied after an alert beginning, quickly opened a commanding lead when ready and, after mild rousing in the last furlong, was taken in hand for the finish. BILL VEIT was hard ridden from the head of the stretch and gamely outfinished BLUE ETERNAL The latter lost some distance outside of rivals, then finished gamely. MARYS BUBBLE, attempted to run off in the parade, but was quickly taken in hand had the most early speed under brisk pressure and faltered when headed. DOUBLE SO could not keep up. VARSITY was in hand saving ground on the turn, came around horses for clear racing at the head of the stretch and closed fast to wear down BRONZE WARRIOR in the last strides. The latter outbroke the field, opened a long lead, but tired rapidly in the final sixteenth. RED HANNIGAN was forced to lose ground throughout while racing outside of horses, but closed willingly in a good effort. EZIO was slightly impeded by DUCAT in the stretch drive, but held on well. ON YOUR OWN raced on the outside free from any interference, wore, down the leaders and went to the front on the stretch turn, then maintained a safe advantage under steady urging. JENJAY was taken in hand, blocked behind horses rounding the far turn, found an opening between horses at the head of the stretch and then closed willingly. PARLO. was hustled away to a long lead on the" turn, but suddenly weakened after a half mile. GARSTARA lacked early speed racing between horses, found clear racing in the stretch and finished fast. SINISTER was briskly ridden showing speed and lacked a rally. DANGEROUS DAME drifted wide in the drive. HAPPY MOOD stumbled and almost lost rider at the break, came between horses- and raced well the last half mile. ROMANEEN faltered. LREURLEA lugged in in the drive. INCIDENTALLY was a keen factor when crowded midway the turn and was sharply taken up. TRlSONG was crowded just after the start and badly again at the far turn. PEN-IN-HAND raced on the outside.
