GIANT CRACKER was handled alertly at the beginning, easily disposed of OLD GLENDALE and held a commanding lead entering the last sixteenth, then was eased up for the finish. OLD GLENDALE quickly sprinted to the front, saved ground and lasted under strong pressure to hold THITHER. The latter slipped through an openinq on the inside at the head of the stretch, then finished determinedly. GANGLAND, outrun to the stretch, bore out to the middle of the track closing belatedly. HANGOVER, steadied after a quick start, was carried wide into the stretch by INDIAN FILE. The latter bore out on the turn. Scratched-15364 Woodlands, 114; 164124 Wolf Gal, 109. SUNLIGHT JESS saved ground improving position, was taken up and to the outside of GREAT HABIT on the final turn, then again followed the rail in the stretch and put away contention under punishment. CAILLOU, rated closest to the pace, wrested command when punished but had little left at the end. HANDILY was put to pressure after five furlongs and faltered when displaced in the last eighth. SIR GOYA was outrun. GREAT HABIT broke poorly, quickly gained a forward position, but tired. BRANDYS LAST was not a threat. ROMALAY gave a poor effort. SLO MOE was a trailer in the first half mile, then moved up strongly on the backstretch to take a short lead on the stretch turn and increased his advantage in the stretch. THE PHOENIX was under restraint while making the pace and passed by B0NSAND entering the backstretch, was in close quarters and was eased, then came again on the inside in the stretch. HAPPY EAST beat the others away but was unable to retain any advantage and was inclined to race wide. B0NSAND was used up trying to get to the front and weakened. SURPRISING tired.
