. Master Red Looms Favorite in Sprint Tangles With Muscles and Lucky William in Market Wise Purse at Sportsmans SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 12. Speed will be the keynote in Thursdays featured ,500 Market Wise Purse, the five-furlong main event at Sportsmans Park, which will be the sixth race on the program. The five -furlong dash drew a full field of 10 prospective starters, including Sunny Blue Farms entry of Muscles and Uncle Tom. The others in the race, which looms as a wide open affair, are Kalamazoo Stables Easter Hour, Alex Kara, Sr.s Vidi, William M. Wiggins Miss Wabash, Merle M. Mitchells Master Red, Sidney Alexanders Sids Pride, John H. Nail, Jr. and M. B. Armers Main Bout, G. Rollie Whites Lucky William, and Russell Fishers Skin Junior. Likes Local Racing Strip At least six of the- 10 sprinters in the field are expected to be well played, with Master Red, who appears to like the Cicero racing strip, looming as a slight favorite. The five others looked upon to draw the fans support are Muscles, Lucky William, Skin Junior, Miss Wabash and Main Bout. Muscles and Lucky William competed in the track record five-furlong dash won by Heart Flash one week ago today. In that race Heart Flash shaved off one-fifth of a second from the track record of :59. Heart Flash ran the distance in :59, defeating Lucky William by two and one-half lengths. In the race Muscles finished fourth. Skin Junior and Vidi were unplaced in a five-furlong event won by Hy-Ill Go, while Miss Wabash hasnt been out since opening day when she was unplaced. Easter Hour also was among the "also rans" in his last outing on May 8. Sids Pride, Main Bout and Uncle Tom are making their initial starts at the meeting; Sids Pride campaigned briefly at Churchill Downs; Main Bout was at the races in Florida; while Uncle Tom was turned out for the winter and is a well-rested horse.
