Basilio, Scortichini Return Bout on Television Tonight SYRACUSE, N. Y., May 14 UP . Welterweight Carmen Basilio, completely recovered from a tbnsilectomy, tangles on Saturday night with rugged Italo Scortichini in a 10-round televsion renewal of their January fight which ended in a draw. Basilio again is the favorite, but the 8 to 5 odds are closer than in their first bout. Appearing in top condition in carefully-paced workouts, Basilio was expected to weigh about 150 pounds. And, indications were that his Milan, Italy, opponent might be down to at least 151 pounds by weigh-in time. Scortichini did the Canastota, N". Y., boxer out of an extra 00 when he slimmed down to 152and pounds before a gymnasium I workout this week. At the time of their Miami .clash, Scortichini weighed more than 154 pounds and his managers had to post the 00 as a bond that he would not weigh, more than 153 pounds for the rematch. Scortichini, whom American agent Charlie Johnston claims was "robbed" in his last three fights, scoffed at the odds against him. His handlers said he has switched from his elusive, dancing style, of fighting and intends to press Basilio from the start.
