Won driving; second and third the same; VEE VEE, in hand while settling into best stride, was sent inside and between horses on the final turn, responded to stout pressure through the final furlong, and was along to forge to the front. SEVEN PASSES, close up while forcing the pace moved to vie for the lead andi proved a stubborn foe. TOMEBAMBA worked his way up along the inside gaining racing room in the late stages and forged to the front. REEDY CREEK, under stout restraint and within striking distance, rallied when sent up on the outside and was pressing for the lead in the late stages. SAILING HIGH moved close to the leaders after a mile and continued on gamely. VERONA opened a long lead, drifted out on the final turn and weakened. MR. F. moved along the inside to overtake the leader in the stretch and faltered, NEWTON HIGH had no mishap. ANAMIA saved ground to no avail. The others were outrun. Scratched 16324 Junior Counsel, 108.
