BRECON BEACONS, close up early, got through an opening after going five-eighths to take command, then saved ground thereafter and held OUR SUSAN safe. The latter moved steadily after leaving the backstretch, but raced around several horses on the final turn, losing much ground and was unable to get up. CHALLESTAR closed fast and gamely. STEAMBOAT BILL had early speed and held on fairly well. MISS PINK met with serious interference when BOOGIE WATCH bolted on the first turn, but retained a forward .position for half the trip, then stopped badly. SOUTH COVERT was far back all the way, refused to extend himself and appeared sore after pulling up. BOOGIE WATCH got out of control on the first turn and vas pulled up after bolting.
