GRAY JAN raced up on the outside going to the far turn, forged to the front entering the last sixteenth and, under mild urging, was able to stall LUCIETE. The latter raced close to the pace from the beginning and held on gamely in the stretch drive. REPOWDER had the lead on the first turn and set the pace to the last furlong, then weakened under pressure. MANUKAY gave an even performance and raced on the outside most of the distance. ROVING CAESAR, slow to settle into best stride, moved up fast while on the outside on the far turn, took command turning for home and, under strong handling, was able to hold the advantage. KELLY ANN, far back for the first half mile, improved her position while on the inside on the far turn, came to the outside in the stretch and, under a hard drive, was gaining at every stride. TREATY STONE, never far off the pace, made a bold move while between horses on the stretch turn, then weakened in the last furlongs. GEORGE HOSH raced on the outside throughout and failed to improve position. MONOGRAM tired badly after setting the pace for the first half mile. BONITA RITA, outrun in the first half-mile, moved up between horses on the backstretch and came to the inside entering the stretch, and being best, drew out steadily. KERRVILLE set the pace to the last furlong, then weakened when pressured by the winner. SUPRE METRIC gave an even performance while between horses for the most part. BLACK MASK moved up on the outside to take a short lead entering the back- stretch, gave way to RIVER SAND entering the stretch, then, under strong urging, regained the lead a sixteenth ■ out, just lasting to hold GOOD CLEAN FUN. The latter closed steadily while racing on the outside in the final quarter and was wearing the winner down at the end. DUNTREATH TINT raced evenly while between horses, finishing gamely. RIVER SAND had the early lead, gave way momentarily on the backstretch and came again . on the inside to get the lead on the stretch turn, but weakened in the last sixteenth. KUMSHA forged to the front soon after the start, set the pace to the last sixteenh, then gave way under pressure from the winner. ONE W. improved his position while between horses. STONE HEART made up some ground while on the outside. SPRINGFIRE tired. QUICK MASTER was never in serious contention, saved all the ground possible. MR. RETOBADO II. moved up fast on the inside going to the first turn to get the lead, bore out slightly and held on with good courage to the last sixteenth, then gave way. KING BEBE closed steadily in.the last quarter while on the outside. FOUR CYCLE raced between horses for the most part. RIVINGTON gave way after the first quarter. STATISTICIAN was never prominent. AEROJET forged to the front on the outside, after going the first quarter, set the pace to midway of the stretch, then weakened under pressure. MISS GRISSIM raced with the leaders to the stretch, then gave way. COMMANDER LEE closed steadily while between horses. MIA GAL tired.
