TONES BOY was hustled to make the early lead, came out to the middle of the track for better footing in the stretch run and drew off while ridden out to the end. PERSONAL REGARDS finished well without threatening the winner. PASSING AGE tired in the stretch run. MOTOR POOL made a good move going to the far turn, then could not carry his rally further. OISEAU ROUGE moved boldly on the turn and, continuing with a strong rally, quickly wore down the leaders and won with speed to spare. MICHAEL WAYNE continued on willingly after being close up from the start. CRACK ODAWN was going willingly when too late. EQUITACK closed well to best the others. TRACE tired. SWITCHERETTE gave way badly in the final three-sixteenths and broke down after the finish. ROYAL LILT faltered after a half mile. TRADE LINE showed little and came back lame. LORD BROOKWOOD was forced to race wide into the stretch and . lacked the necessary late response. PHEASANT PHUNN shook off early bids from SPOT OF GREEN, then tired in the final sixteenth. FAST FIGURE moved into the lead when the pacemaker faltered, drew off into the ■ stretch and prevailed without undue pressure. SPIT BALL closed with a strong rush to be best of the others. SHADOWS LAST flattened out under pressure. ALL REET wore down tiring horses while racing along the inside. UNCLE TIM was forced to take up at the far turn. DARS DARLIN stopped to a walk. CORSO was quickly sent into a good lead, was then taken under restraint, appeared to intimidate BLUE PAD at the far turn when shaking off that rival and, under pressure, prevailed to the end. BROOKWOOD followed an erratic course early, reached close contention on the final turn, then drifted out slightly and could not endanger the winner. DEEP THOUGHT prompted the pace from the start and had no late response. BLUE PAD made a bold move to the winner along the inside at the far turn, was taken up sharply there, then could not find best stride again.
