May 13. — Tomy Lee, winner of the Kentucky Derby, is eligible for the 1960 running next January of the 00,000-added Santa Anita Maturity for four-year-olds. The English-bred colt, owned by, Fred Turner Jr., of Midland, Texas, is among 78 remaining current three-year-olds kept eligible for the unique llA miles stakes which highlights the annual winter i thoroughbred racing season at Santa Anita i Park. I Two past Kentucky Derby winners — I Ponder and Determine — later won the Ma-| turity. I The other recent Kentucky Derby con-I testants — Royal Orbit and Dunce — are also eligible for the 1960 Maturity. Royal Orbit, owned in the name of the estate of the late ! Jacques Braunstein, finished fourth in the 1 Run for the Roses while Claiborne Farms 1 Dunce wound up seventh in the 17-horse 1 field. i No foreign-bred horse has ever won the i Maturity.
