Bagdad Flying Eastward To Begin Belmont Preps HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 13. — Howard Keeks stakes winning three-year-old Bagdad will be flown to New York tonight to begin training for the 25,000 Belmont Stakes on June 13, trainer Joe Dunn reported this morning. Dunn will load the black son of Double Jay aboard a United Airlines Cargoliner tonight at 9 oclock and will accompany the colt on the eastward journey. Marty Fallon will be in charge of the Dunn stable while Joe is in the east. Bagdad, who finished third in the Debonair Stakes here Saturday, will make his first start in the one mile 5,000 Withers Stakes on May 23, ac-according to. Dunn, who will return to Hollywood Park between races. After the Withers, Bagdad will be pointed for for the 1 1-2 miles Belmont and then will return to the west coast for the 00,000 added Hollywood Derby on June 27. -
