ROB THE RICH passed tired horses in the drive. NEGRO MINSTREL had to be snatched to the outside when caught in a speed jam racing into the first turn, then could not threaten thereafter. FREIGHTER was through after six furlongs. MEREDITH raced extremely wide into the stretch. McDERMOTT hit a horses heels when caught in a jam while racing into the clubhouse turn.
