BROTHER JOSS, slow to settle : into best stride, closed a lot of ground in the final quarter while on the outside. PICAFRIEND, never far off the leaders while racing on the outside, finished strongly. BLUE PLEDGE had the lead in the first few strides and, being best, came on in the final stages to win at will. MISS MURANO, far back in the first quarter, moved up fast in the last quarter while racing on the outside. IRISH MUD moved up on the outside while going down the backstretch and held on gamely to the stretch, then weakened. RESTFUL made up some ground while on the inside. YILDIRIM tired. SOLAR CLIPPER forged to the front while saving ground on the far turn, drew out entering the stretch, then had, to be hustled along to hold GAL-AGE. The latter raced on the outside of the pacemaker to the far turn, then gave way and came again in the final sixteenth, gaining at every stride. THE HON raced with the leaders from the start and finished gamely while saving ground. ORRTRACK gave an even performance. BLUE CREST tired after setting the pace to the last quarter.
