4 Blue Runner Totes New Colors Today Margo Stable Colt Seeking Repeat Sportsmans Victory In Capital Airline Purse SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, HI., May 11. — Blue Runner, a three-year-old War Dog — Blue Eva colt, a winner in his last outing on Saturday, will be running for a new owner in tomorrows feature Capital Airline Purse, a five-furlong speed affair, the sixth race on the Sportsmans Park program. Blue Runner will be making his debut for the Margo Stable, owned by Al Anderson and Duke Carver Jr., of San Antonio, Texas. In posting his latest victory. Blue Runner defeated Speedy Jet by three quarters of a length in a seven-furlong affair. It was Blue Runners second attempt at the meeting, in a previous race, his 1953 debut, the gray colt having finished fifth. Also in the feature will be Broadway Stables Pretty Cinda, Mrs. Lois C. Molays Crossbow Girl, Leonard R. Greens Red Comet, Mrs. Sayde Smiths Night Town, Flying M Stables Anuny One, and Walter O. Smiths Barbara L. Winner at Cicero Track Crossbow Girl, who finished third behind Master Red and Dink in her last start, was an opening day winner in a five-furlong dash, while another winner at the meeting also entered in the sixth, is Anuny One, victor in a seven-furlong event on April 20, and paying the largest mutuel of the meeting, 20.00 for a straight ticket. Red Comet has one outing at the session, finishing fifth behind such speed horses as Master Red, Dink, On Train, and Possess in a five-furlong race. Night Town hasnt been out at the meeting but won at Gulfstream Park on April 10. Pretty Cindy was unplaced in her last effort and Barbara L., in two starts finished second on both occasions, her latest being a week ago when she was beaten by a long shot, Cherokee Pilot, at seven furlongs. Many of the better racing establishments here will move on to Detroit after the final card on Saturday. Marion H. Van-Berg has arranged to ship his entire sta ble to the Motor City on Sunday. Van-Berg has 38 horses here, Grace Kosiba is sending her full string of 15, while Charles H. Wagner has 20 going to the automobile city. The Detroit meeting will open May 28.
