Marys Frank Shipped To Detroit Course Figured in Disputed Claim Case; Suit for Purse Money Settled GROVE CITY, Ohio, May 31.— Marys Frank, the horse involved in the recent claim dispute at Beulah Park, has been shipped to Detroit by Marion Becker and Russell Thomas. Becker and Thomas carried their case to the State Racing Commission after their ,500 claim for the horse was voided by Beulah stewards May 7. The Commission reversed the stewards verdict and ordered the horse to be turned over to the two claimants. Settled out of court was the appeal of Becker and Thomas to the Franklin County Common Pleas Court for the 00 in purse money won by Marys Frank under the silks of A. B. Corbin while the case was pending before the Commission. James DeLeone, attorney for Becker and Thomas, explained . that his clients were awarded the 00 purse, less 5 in jockey fees, 0 in trainer commissions and 180 for boarding and training fees. » Two Beulah stewards, Thomas Sanford and Monte Weil, resigned in the wake of the Commissions order awarding ownership of the horse to Becker and Thomas.
