MOUNT ROYAL TURF NOTES MONTREAL Que May 31 31Another Another of the numerous disagreeable in ¬ cidents surrounding the mare Princess Pat Coventry occurred today when it was an ¬ nounced that the claim made for her yesterday by W G Campbell had been withdrawn and the mare returned to her owner She did not appear in the paddock for the first race and the owner was fined 100 for this lapse Mrs W J Hayes an ¬ nounced however her intention of appealing the decision whereby her claim for the mare the first time it ran was held to be invalid invalidA A protest was made after the first race Ethel Kenyon the favorite had been carried wide on the turn and in the stretch by Dixie Boy the winner while attempting to pass the latter on the outside Considering the condition of the track and the fact that the youngsters racing lacked experience the stewards disregarded the protest
