PARAVANT, forced to race on the outside, came with good courage when placed to strong pressure in the last three-sixteenths and, closing stoutly, was up in the last few strides. BARTON GAL raced well placed in the early running, engaged the pacemaker when straightened into the stretch and fought it out strongly to the end. CHALGO had to be strongly ridden to get to the front, opened up a clear lead at the turn, but tired badly under punishment in the final drive. BONNIE SIGHT raced forwardly all the way and held on willingly after being in close quarters approaching the stretch. JUDGE POOL could not reach the leaders. HIGHCROFT was outrun. PADDY BURNS was held safe after showing early speed. PARITY raced KHAKI JOHN into defeat in the first three-quarters, saved ground and held on with good energy. KHAKI JOHN forced a steady pace in the early stages, but tired in the final issue. ZANGW1LL bettered his position steadily and was racing gamely at the close. SWIFTLET was on the outside all the way and could not threaten. OUR TROUBLE dropped out of contention soon after the start. BIG FISH, taken under slight restraint when SMILING STAR was hustled into the lead midway of the back stretch, regained command readily when reaching the final turn, was hard ridden thereafter and outstayed PRINCELY PAL under a hard drive. PRINCELY PAL improved his position steadily when placed to pressure, swung to the outside and was wearing the winner down at every stride ncaring the end. LINESMAN raced forwardly from the start and continued gamely in the late stages. DAINTY ROSE, far out of contention early, circled her field to close full of run under a weak finish. TABSON was messed about all the way. BEECHVIEW raced wide throughout. SMILING STAR quit badly. SPEY CREST raced in spots. SEA KALE had no mishaps. The latter broke well but fell back in the first sixteenth. He improved his position on the outside when gaining -his best stride and finished with a bold rush. DISCOUNT raced forwardly from the start and held on well when the final test came. t HASTY BELLE, unable to reach a contending position early, came gamely in the late stages. GALABANG was hard ridden all the way and showed a good effort. CENTERMARCH had much speed while setting the pace but flattened out badlv when caught. KIBITZER was a trailer all the way. PENABUD forced a steady pace from the start, threatened boldly all during the first half mile, but tired in the last sixteenth. NO RETREAT, reserved off the pace for the first three-quarters, moved up menacingly at the final turn, but hung during the stretch lun. LADYMUCH could not better her position at any stage. STORMBLOWN was caught in tight quarters at the first turn, swung to the outside for racing room, but could not reach the leaders. STORMER, messed about going to the first turn, went into contention swiftly when taken to the outside and held on determinedly in the late stages. ST. OMER showed good speed while setting the pace, but tired when caught. WHICHPRIG showed a good effort. THRUSTER had no excuses. CESSNA tired.
