I FOREIGN TURF NOTES S 1 The Coronation Cup, which Rcigh Count won during his invasion of the English turf, was carried off this year by Lord Derbys Plassy, which may be the horse for Omaha to beat if the American horse is victorious v in the Ascot Gold Cup. Baron Edouard de Rothschild lost his good filly Peniche. which broke a leg while exercising recently. Peniche won the French Oaks last year. Mahmouds time of 2:33 in winning this years Epsom Derby is a record for the race. Four women owners won races at Epsom Downs the day before the running of the Derby.
