THQRNCLIFFE PARK NOTES i R. McArthur, track superintendent, reported that Sweeplure, owned by W. Burrell and Attribute, owned by J. Mann, died over the week-end. J. P. Mayberry is shipping a dozen of the J. U. Gratton performers to Suffolk Downs on Wednesday. Jockey C. Hanford will accompany the shipment, which will be headed by the useful sprinter Grog. Tempestuous, owned by Mrs. T. Stevenson, was loaded and shipped to Detroit The five-year-old will be taken over upon arrival at the Motor City by Frank Gilpin. R. Evadinger will train the horses formerly in charge of J. H. Black, Jr., during the latters suspension. Anthony Simms will assist racing secretary Charles F. Henry in accepting entries at Long Branch on Tuesday morning. William Charlton and W. G. Kelly will be stationed at Dufferin Park and Thorncliffe Park for the convenience of horsemen unable to -get to the lake shore plant in time to make personal entries. The book of conditions embracing the first seven days of the fourteen-day meeting to be staged at Fort Erie were released by racing secretary J. P. Turner on Monday. Purses will range from 00 to ,500 during the entire meeting, and racing will be conducted under the jurisdiction of the Independent Canadian Racing Association, of which the Niagara Racing Association is a member. Several hundred fans and racing officials witnessed the review of the camera eye, on which a public demonstration was given at Long Branch on Sunday morning. Several shots were taken of horses in action, and in each instance the pictures were developed speedily, taking less than four minutes. The machine will be operated as an experiment beginning with the opening of the meeting on Wednesday.
