ARGOAN, away fast, drew clear in the run down the back stretch, was steadied along in advance of his field and, holding on willingly through the stretch, held LOOKOUT BOYS safe. The latter moved up determinedly on tho outside, was placed under punishment and, despite responding gamely, was unable to reach the leader. BANK HOLIDAY was forwardly placed the entire way and had no excuses. FLOWERY LADY closed some ground. TEDDY CARL closed a good gap. KAI HARRI, well placed for the" opening three-sixteenths, dropped back thereafter. PALATINE and DIECASTER were taken up at the start. DOUGLAS F. wheeled when the start came and had scant chance. TINTORETTO took command zX once, fought it out in determined fashion with LADY MILLY for the lead, disposed of her and drew out to win with speed to spare. LADY MILLY made a game effort to go along with the winner, but was not good enough, though holding on stoutly to the close. GAYETTE was well placed and had no excuses. MOONBURN suffered some interference in the opening eighth and never entered into contention. RIELTHING was shuffled back nearing the far turn and was unable to recover. MOFO could never reach the leaders. LOVELY DAY was running over her field in the stretch after having been away 50 poorly as to have little chance. Overweight Gayotte, 2 pounds; Gloss, 4A. BACON, prominent all the way, was under slight reserve while forcing the pace of SUN ANTIOCH, responded gamely to hard urging and was up in the closing strides. GIFT OF ROSES, well placed all the way, was out beyond the middle of the track at the end. SUN ANTIOCH displayed good speed and held on gamely in the drive after saving-1 ground. MOISSON was unable to reach the leaders, despite hard riding. MY PURCHASE, outpaced early, closed some ground through the last quarter mile. JOHN WERRING was never a threat. RED WAGON displayed keen early speed, but flattened out in the stretch when overtaken. MISS TROPHY, hard ridden early in an effort to reach the. leader, faltered in the last three-eighths. BOSTON BROOK, under stout restraint while following the early pace, wore down the pacemaker when called upon and, placed to punishment when the winner challenged, held on gamely to the end, though not good enough. HOWARD was well placed pnd slightly restrained early, moved up briefly on the inside leaving the back stretch, though unable to improve lus position in the final drive. MALBROUK, unruly at the post, outran his field for the first three quarters, tiring thereafter. HAPPY HELEN forced the early pace and tired badly in the last five-sixteenths. MADERIS outran his field to the first turn, was steadied along in front and though unable to withstand the winner, was much the best of the others. BULL MARKET was hard ridden, but could never threaten. PLATINUM BLONDE closed some ground, but was never a threat. DORMIDO was never a factor. Overweight Greyglade, 3 pounds.
