I AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES j S : : ft Jockey C. Kurtsinger "returned from Rockingham Park, where he rode last week, and will ride, for Mrs. Silas Mason during this meeting. Trainer J. W. Healey stated that Mr. Bones, runner-up in the. Belmont, would be a starter in the Dwyer Stakes. He will meet Granville in this running. Trainer Fitzsim-mons stated that the Belair Stud colt will fill his engagements. during the summer at Chicago and Saratoga. Jockey R. Merritt left for Boyce; Va., to attend the funeral of Capt. P. M. Walker. He canceled his mounts slated for Monday and Tuesday. Pierre Lorillard was among the opening day visitors, his first appearance in some time. Trainer T. F. Clark stated that J. H. Louchheims Pompoon would be reserved for stake engagements at Saratoga and fall meetings. A painting of A. G. Vanderbilts DiscoveVy is on exhibition in the clubhouse. The work was ordered "by the young owner from F. B. Voss. The background is the infield at Aqueduct and showed the jockeys board and timers stand, with the time of his smashing race in the Brooklyn Handicap a mile and a furlong in 1:48. Jockey J.
