LADIES DAY IT RIVERSIDE Eight Races Entertain Fair Fans of Kansas City Shasta Boy Takes Juvenile Purse. KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 9. Mid-summer weather prevailed for Ladies Day at Riverside Park, and another large, turnout of the fair sex witnessed an excellent program of eight races, which consisted of four sprints and four over a distance of ground. Two-year-olds furnished the contention in the first race, which was a handicap affair decided over five furlongs. Shasta Boy, well ridden by D. Sykes, was returned a driving winner when, coming from behind in the final eighth mile, he wore down the pace-making Albert Beck to win going away by a length. Albert Beck, the one to set the early pace, held on "well in the final xlrive to save second place from Sky Rhonda, which finished third. The winner ran the five furlongs in the good time of 1:01 and was third choice in the wagering.
