T TH0RNCLIFFE PARK NOTES f s : i Jockey J. Hunter departed for Detroit to join the division of the E. F. Seagram stable which is racing at that point. The Long Branch Jockey Club has arranged to provide van service free from Woodbine Park, Thorncliffe Park and Duf-ferin Park for horses stabled at those Shore plant. A notice was posted on the bulletin board at Long Branch requesting all horsemen to familiarize themselves with several new rules that have been published in the condition book of the meeting. A check up of the riders that rode at Thorncliffe Park revealed that all of them will remain to ride during the meeting of. the Long Branch Jockey Club. The H. C. Hatch horses, in charge of L. Gentry, were vanned to Long Branch for the meeting that gets under way on Wednesday. The western division of that establishment, in charge of W. H. Bringloe, will leave for Winnipeg early Wednesday morning. Jockey S. Young will do the riding for the latter division. G. K. Allen unloaded the useful plater Vee Eight at Woodbine Park on Tuesday morning. The shipment was reported to have arrived from New Orleans, . Mr. and Mrs. Brammer and daughter are here visiting jockey Danny Brammer, contract rider for the H. C. Hatch stable. They expect to remain for some time before returning to their home. Jockey Herb Lindberg, leading rider of the Thorncliffe meeting, drew down the largest pay check of the riding colony for the first six days of the local meeting. Lindberg received a check for 85. P. Remillard was second in the monetary distribution with 75. R. Watson was third with 70 and F. Mann fourth with 55. The total payroll for six days was ,625. Tabher of the J. G. Fair barn is on the ailing list and permission was granted by the stewards to release the filly from running in the first race. John P. Turner has altered his plans and will leave for Agawam Park to resume his duties at that point. Turner will return at a later date to prepare for the opening of the Hamilton Jockey Club meeting, where he will serve as racing secretary and steward. Twelve members of the Parkwood Stable, including Pagan King, along with three Gallant Fox two-year-olds and eight older performers, will be transferred to Hamilton by trainer H. Giddings to await the opening of that meeting. The remainder of the stable has been shipped to Long Branch to fulfill engagements at the Lake Shore course, during the seven-day meeting. Jockey Carl Hanford will accompany the J. U. Gratton stable that will leave from the loading chute at Thorncliffe Park on Wednesday for Suffolk Downs. Trainer J. P. Mayberry is transferring a dozen to the East Boston track, including the- good sprinter, Grog.
