HAWTH0RNE TURF NOTES $ Mr. David Butler, distinguished movie director, is expected here in a few days from Hollywood, and will remain for a brief stay before going on to Latonia, where his horses are racing. Mrs. Butler will accompany her husband on the trip. Trainer C. C. Miller reports that he shipped the two-year-old filly Camise . to Aqueduct Monday. The juvenile will augment the other horses of Mrs. Val Crane whom she will represent in her New York engagements. Trainer Ross O. Higdon, who has twelve head under his direction at this time, reports that Golden Knight and Irish Image are the only two not able to race, having been afflicted with a gland ailment. Robert L., winner of the first race Saturday, another of the Higdon performers, will be out temporarily due to bucked shins. Yellow Tulip, which came here to fill his engagement in the Hawthorne Juvenile Stakes, was returned to Detroit. Jockey J. Bryson also went back to the motor city. The Chappel Brothers of Rockford, 111., are planning on racing a third string, according to word received from trainer J. P. Ebelhardt, who will take over twelve two-year-olds. The youngsters will not race until the impending Arlington Park meeting.
