1 DETROIT TURF NOTES g, s A. Barrera took up Nell Barton, which has been turned out at Barneys Farm since last year. Acting for J. S. Riley, Jack Weber sold Big Clifty and Charlie Jr. to J. Schriber. Mr. and Mrs. G. Ewins and Mr. and Mrs. S. Carlock of Carlock, 111., are visiting W. A. Mikel. L. F. Andersons Auburndale, which broke down during the running of the fifth race Saturday, was destroyed. The horse broke his left front ankle. Misapprehension and All Agog, which filled their engagements in the Clipsetta Stakes at Latonia Saturday, arrived here Monday morning. Bomar Stables Yellow Tulip, which was sent from here to Hawthorne and which finished second to Dogaway in the Hawthorne Juvenile Stakes, reached here by van Monday morning. C. Lock purchased La Junta White and Mayor Holcombe from Joe L. Roberts. Jockeys C. McTague and A. Di Liddio ar-- rived here from Toronto Monday morning. . McTague was in colors during the afternoon. . Tempestuoust which was left at Thorn- . . cliffe to fill his engagement in the Bryar and OHara Memorial Handicap, joined the Seagram-Stevenson stable which Frank Gil- pin has here.
