MAKALAW raced JUSTA GIRO into submission in the first quarter and was taken in hand for an easy win. SPRINGS HERE soon moved into a contending position, but -was no match for the winner. SCOUT. PLANE could not match the speed of the leaders in the early running and was going well while gaining at the end. HAPPY HOST dropped out of contention soon after the start, but was going well at the end. JUSTA L GIRO had good speed for three-quarters, then quit badly in the stretch. QUEEN BLAZE was always last. MISS GINBAR, going in her best form, forced the pace to the stretch turn, then forged to the front and was hard ridden all through the last eighth. ANNARITA, never far from the leaders, closed courageously in the stretch. GENERAL A., sluggish in the first eighth, moved up along the inner rail coming to the outside in the stretch, closed gamely, but could not catch the leaders. SOUPCON was used up racing MISS GINBAR and tired in the final test. THE MILLAY was never a contender. FLYING THOR was pulled up when he went lame. HASTY HANNA was always third, but could not better her position at any lime. MORNING DREAM raced well, but had no excuses. The others were never contenders. Overweight Devilment, 3 pounds. BEDIGHT had the most early speed, but could not hold the winner when the real test came. RUNNING WATER raced "well "throughout and gained ground at the end. ITALIAN HARRY lost ground steadily for the first three-quarters, then closed up strongly in the last three-sixteenths. INFILEE raced well for the last quarter mile. MINE BOY lacked speed throughout. CHRISTOPHER raced well back for three-quarters, moved up with a rush rounding the turn, but could not reach the winner. RETRIBUTION trailed far back for seven-eighths and finished with a. belated rush. FLAT ROCK showed good speed to the stretch head, but tired when the final drive came. GOLDFIN closed soma ground.
